I love the asymmetrical hood scoops.

I really hope they follow through and build it this time. It looks fantastic.

It's a nice subtle nod to the original Audi Sport Quattro.

It adds an air of brutality the previous version was missing, as pretty as it was.
I like it!

I hope they do as well. I would be very happy even if it went into production with both the electric motor setup and the much rumored biturbo V6 that is supposed to be slotted into the B9 RS 4/RS 5.

Agreed that the Audi quattro coupe concept was a bit tame, but I think it allowed them to see what they could do with a potent 2.5TFSI and a very lightweight (for an Audi) setup. Now that they've gotten it down, they can make it into something that could be an R5 (minus a rear-mid engine / quattro layout).

If this made its way into production, I would absolutely want one in either Sepang or Nogaro Blue. 'nuff said.

Audi Quattro concept: 400hp 2.5TFSI, 2900 pounds, 6-speed manual.
Audi Sport quattro concept: 700hp with 140hp coming from a hybrid system, 4000 pounds, S-tronic gearbox.
No thanks, I'll take the Quattro concept..

I would mind if they took the new body work and plopped it on to the Audi quattro coupe concept. And yes, 4000 pounds is in the same territory as the current RS 5 :\

The ultimate question is whether Audi will race it, or better, RALLY IT.

Yeah, but they're similar enough. I liked the Quattro just fine.

Audi does need to get back into rallying, but looks like VW AG is perfectly fine with Skoda doing rallies and seeing Audis on a race track.

I see. It seems like a nice balance for all the things going on with VAG.

Needs diesel.

Mmm... I wonder how hard it would be to stuff in the biturbo version of the 3.0TDI or the 4.2TDI into this thing :)

biturbo 3.0TDI with e-tron, or is that just too awesome... I didn't actually know they did a biturbo version of the 3.0, what ones do they put it in?

The biturbo 3.0TDI can be found in the non-US SQ5 and the A6, A7 and A8 models. IIRC, I think the biturbo 4.2TDI can also be had in the non-US A6, A7 and A8.

That's cool but also sucks. I want biturbo diesel A5. I guess I could settle for a biturbo diesel A6 avant... :p

Stunning. Great job, Audi.....again.
